Role Overview: DevOps Engineer I

Increff is seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer I who will play a vital role in developing, maintaining, and automating infrastructure and deployment processes for our product engineering teams. You will work across cloud platforms, CI/CD tools, containerized environments, and monitoring solutions to ensure scalable and secure deployments. This is a hybrid role based out of Bangalore, providing a balanced mix of office and remote work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for early-career professionals to grow their DevOps skills in a fast-paced startup environment focused on building reliable and high-performing tech solutions for global retail customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Build and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

  • Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in development, staging, and production environments.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and implement improvements.

  • Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices.

  • Contribute to security, compliance, and cost optimization of infrastructure.

  • Document deployment processes, system architecture, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation and incident response when required.

  • Stay updated with evolving trends in DevOps, SRE, cloud computing, and container orchestration.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 6 months to 2 years of professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineer role.

  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, CLI tools, and system administration.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.


Key Skills and Tools

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation (required)

  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines

  • Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

  • Containers: Docker (required), Kubernetes or GKE (preferred)

  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (a plus)

  • Version Control: Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket

  • Understanding of networking, firewalls, DNS, and security best practices
